Arrival in Rome - Night Tour
Welcome to Italy the Land of the Mystique! On arrival in Rome, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and relax. Rome comes alive at night and you will not miss the opportunity to see its most beautiful monuments illuminated. In the evening you will be taken to enjoy this panoramic Rome Illuminations tour which starts at around 1900 hours. Some of the sights you pass by include The Fountain of the Nayads, The Exhibition Palace, Piazza Venezia with its Tomb to the Unknown Soldier and the Capitoline Hill. Glimpse the Imperial Roman Age as you drive by and admire the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine and the Circus Maximus. Leap into the Papal era when, driving along the banks of the Tiber, you see the Jewish Quarter complete with synagogue and the imposing Castel Sant’Angelo close by that heralds your approach to St. Peter’s. Set in the ancient Aurelian Walls that frame part of the Villa Borghese Park, you’ll see a couple of the most beautiful gateways in Rome: Porta Flaminia through which you can admire the Piazza del Popolo and Porta Pinciana, through which you reach the famous Via Veneto symbol of “la dolce vita” in Rome. Rome to Florence + Afternoon Tour of Pisa
Today check-out from your hotel and walk to the nearby train station to take your train from Rome to Florence. Upon arrival at Florence, walk to your hotel and check-in. Later head out through the picturesque Tuscan countryside to the charming city of Pisa. Once we arrive in Pisa, your knowledgeable guide will lead you to the emblematic Piazza dei Miracoli where they will regale you with the wonders of the square. Your eyes will be drawn to the Leaning Tower that you can explore from the outside as well as the exterior of the Baptistery and other striking monuments before we make our way inside the Cathedral. Return back to your hotel by afternoon. Later this evening you are free to relax or explore Florence on your own. Overnight stay at hotel. Full day tour of Tuscany (Siena, Sam Gimignano and Chianti)
Today morning you will depart from Florence and head out through the picturesque Tuscan countryside. Along the way that will lead us to Siena, the first emotion is the enchanting view of Monteriggioni from the panoramic windows of the bus: the amazing spectacle of a small medieval village enclosed by its famous walls, which remained standing to this day. Upon arrival in Siena, we meet the local guide, at our disposal for two hours, who takes us on a comprehensive guided tour of the historic center starting from the famous Basilica of San Domenico (inside visit), a jewel of Renaissance art built in the 13th century and dedicated to St. Catherine of Siena, of which preserves a relic. We will walk along the narrow medieval streets of the city, flanked by splendid palaces and historic shops, until we reach the spectacular Cathedral of the 12 th century, of which we can admire the magnificent architecture and the splendor of the polychrome marbles. The tour continues then with the visit of the Museum and Oratory of a Contrada (*) (exclusive opening), where we can experience the atmosphere of the authentic and most intimate soul of the town. The guided tour of Siena ends in its most beautiful square, Piazza del Campo, of which the Palazzo Pubblico (Town Hall) is the focal point. Free time to continue exploring the city and for lunch (not included). In the afternoon we reach San Gimignano, a small and world-famous walled town located on a hilltop, which remained intact through the centuries, renowned for its tall towers, wonderful frescoes and many other valuable works of art: here we will be led until the heart of the historical center, where to have free time at disposal for its fascinating discovery. In the evening, crossing the gently Chianti rolling hills, we will arrive to a small and typical Winery where, after a short walk in the ancient vineyards, we will visit the suggestive barrique room and taste fantastic wines, sampling also locally produced zero food miles. Finally, we will stop in the picturesque village of Greve in Chianti, to admire its famous main square flanked by arcades and browse through the local artisan shops, to end a memorable experience in the heart of Tuscany. Florence to Venice - Walking Tour + Afternoon Gondola Ride
Today morning, check-out from your hotel and walk to the nearby rail station for your journey to Venice. Upon arrival at the train station, reach your centrally-located hotel (on your own). Relax for some time. We proceed with a romantic and relaxing afternoon. Outdoors visit with the Tourist Guide of the area between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, passing by some special places: Teatro la Fenice, Scala del Bovolo, Rialto Bridge. Later take a Gondola Ride, cruising through the Grand Canal, passing by some special places: Teatro la Fenice, Scala del Bovolo, Rialto Bridge. At the end embarking on a gondola (up to 6 people per gondola) for a fascinating 35 minutes ride on the Grand Canal (S. Lake Como from Milan
Depart from central Milan and journey toward the Italian Alps by coach. After a relaxing drive, arrive in Lake Como for your cruise. After your 1-hour coach journey from Milan, start your tour of Como visiting historic center and enjoy some free time to get to know the town and shop in the many local boutiques. The tour continues with a 2-hours cruise on the lake. Admire the lakeside villas and keep an eye out for Villa d'Este at Cernobbio, a luxurious hotel set in tropical gardens. The mild Mediterranean climate ensures an abundance of exotic and rare plants thrive year-round. Docking at the town of Bellagio, one of the most famous towns on the lake, you can follow the steep alleys running up from the lake and stop for a coffee or gelato at one of the lively cafes housed in grand historic buildings.
